Thal Wachau is a term first mentioned in the year 850 and comprises the villages of Weissenkirchen, Joching, Woesendorf and St. Michael. Even then vines were cultivated. Nowadays the wines of the area are known all over the world and famous because of their outstanding quality. You are welcome to taste and buy the delicious wines right at the place of their origin.

Every Tuesday, the staff of the Weißenkirchen tourist information office take over the wine sales. Therefore, there may be waiting times if there is a lot going on in the information office at the same time. We ask for your understanding!
